After starting this journal, I must say my whole career and life plans have changed. I am 4 classes away from completing my Doctorate, so much has happened so fast. My brother started A Quiet Enemy, an organization created to bring mental health awareness to our communities. I have worked in the field of psychology for 20 years before deciding to get my degree in Family Nurse Practitioner. I decided now, with the help of your book, to start the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program in August and then finish my Doctorate. Why delay my doctorate? Because this path allows me to contribute to my brother’s organization and actually treat and diagnose psychological conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar which is where my heart is. I will then finish my DNP because that's a personal goal of mine.

“Imperfectly Purposed! What can I NOT say! Lol, God has a way of getting our attention. I fell in love with this journal when I received it. I thumbed through the pages, saying “OMG! Nicole unknowingly wrote this for ME!” More excited than surprised, because I’ve grown a bit familiar with how God works. He knows what we NEED, at the precise moment that it’s needed. I’ve had this journal for almost two weeks and was undecided if I wanted to write in it or gift it to someone else. Well today, I put it in my backpack as I ran out of the house, to catch my flight. Being the procrastinator that I “WAS” I figured, “IF” I have time or need something to do, this may come in handy.. something that I’m notorious for doing, but still find 100 other things to help make the time go by. But NOT today! Lol I board the plane, mentally preparing myself for the 4 hr flight, ( free movies, text and entertainment included ), whip out my phone to start a movie and “CRICKETS” the WiFi that was supposed to work cut off 2 mins into my first movie. After spending 20 minutes trying to reconnect, I gave up. (Lol, nobody but God. Saying, “girl, if you don’t get focused you betta!”) You see, intuitively, I knew that I had overextended my stay on procrastination island! I knew that I needed to start somewhere. So guess what I did?! Lol, I pulled out my journal and prepared for the ride. I laughed and cried during this flight, completed almost the first 50 pages. I’ve always known and even told Nicole this a time or two, but I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that God was strategic, ensuring that our paths crossed. It was meant to be..”— Kelly
“Thank you for my great airplane read! I usually don't look forward to my flights, but this time I wasn't ready to get off the plane as I was busy writing in my journal. A lot of self reflection required in this read, but long overdue! I can't remember the last time I was into a book like this. My faves so far: knowing your why, dont over committ, have a SOS squad (shot out to my prayer sisters!), you can't pour from an empty cup, and the great reminder that "I am equipped and capable of handling anything that comes my way". Thank you!.”— Veronica A.
“Amazing book, I love it, can’t put it down.”
